General Summary:

The IT Network Architect provides advanced expertise in network engineering and architecture, applying best‑practice design principles to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient technology use.

The role partners with senior leaders to define technology roadmaps, set standards, and drive continuous improvement, while leading implementations, coordinating team efforts, and serving as the primary escalation point for critical network initiatives and issues.

How you will help us Connect the world: 

• Lead the development of network and technology roadmaps, providing strategic direction, technical expertise, and recommendations for new and emerging technologies
• Ensure solution designs align with corporate standards, industry best practices, and security policies
• Partner closely with IT Operations and business stakeholders to maintain alignment as new initiatives and technologies are introduced
• Assess existing network infrastructure to identify optimization, scalability, and cost-reduction opportunities; define high-level improvement plans
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively through clear documentation and executive-level presentations
• Oversee architecture documentation, including design artifacts, diagrams, and configuration standards
• Provide technical leadership for the network architecture team, including resource planning and serving as the primary point of escalation
• Perform network modeling, analysis, and capacity planning to ensure solutions meet business and performance requirements
• Act as SME for enterprise network design, implementation, and troubleshooting across routing (MPLS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), QoS, firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco), wireless (Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus), load balancing (F5), and VPN technologies (IPsec, DMVPN)
• Support and enhance SD-WAN deployments; hands-on experience with Versa Networks preferred
• Design and manage network services including IPv6, WAN, data centers, manufacturing sites, branch offices, and remote access
• Develop and maintain network automation and orchestration solutions using scripting and APIs (Python, REST, YAML/JSON, Postman, etc.)
• Support cloud networking initiatives (AWS, Azure), including architecture design, vendor selection, circuit provisioning, and lifecycle management
• Perform advanced troubleshooting using packet analysis and diagnostic tools (Wireshark, tcpdump, IOS capture)
• Provide fourth-level escalation support for critical network incidents and outages

Required Skills and Qualifications for Consideration

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a related discipline
• Preferably 8+ Strong hands-on expertise in infrastructure strategy, architecture, and networking technologies, including routing protocols
• Proven experience delivering complex enterprise-scale initiatives across multiple architecture domains and technology environments
• Ability to translate broad technology concepts into actionable business-aligned strategies and roadmaps
• Solid critical thinking, sound judgment, and a results-oriented mindset
• Excellent planning, organization, and prioritization skills in fast-paced environments
• Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Demonstrated accountability, integrity, and ability to operate effectively within cross-functional teams
