How You'll Help Us Connect the World:

As a Principal level Software Engineer you will work with a variety of technologies with the team to innovate, design, develop and maintain software for Aurora Networks Service Assurance software products and systems. Your primary focus will include

• Working with product management to clarify requirements and explore innovative solutions
• Design and develop forward-looking optimized, performant, scalable and secure solutions
• Ability to understand big picture, discern high level details and development dependencies
• Ensure quality of the system through comprehensive unit testing and collaborating with quality assurance engineers to enable thorough system testing
• Creating work breakdown, estimates and commitment to meet deadlines and deliverables.
• Contributing to organization culture, disciplines, process & tools

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

• Include demonstrated competencies and physical, mental, & interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical, Software Engineering, Computer Information systems or a similar degree program
• Proven track record of 12+ years with Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years with Master’s degree building and scaling innovative software products in large-scale distributed systems, delivering robust solutions that power complex, high-impact applications.
• Highly proficient in Java, Kotlin, Python with in-depth knowledge of common design paradigms, data structures and implementing complex algorithms with supporting AI/ML advanced analytics use cases.
• Experience with design, development, troubleshooting and performance tuning of large-scale Linux based distributed applications.
• Strong knowledge of network programming, including Sockets, TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP, gNMI/gRPC and related networking protocols.
• Strong hands-on experience using Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Web services, microservices, REST APIs, data pipeline platforms like Kafka, Apache Airflow, RabbitMQ.
• Experience designing on modem technologies such as NoSQL, hybrid databases and SQL.
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and deploying containerized applications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration, analytical and problem-solving skills.

 You Will Excite Us If You Have:

• Ownership of software module and technical lead to a small team of junior developers.
• Exposure to Telecom / Cable / PON network management applications
• Drive full software development lifecycle management including design, development, troubleshooting of large scale distributed applications.
• Exposure to cloud native architecture and hands on experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS cloud deployments.
