We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our CSS team in Taipei!

RUCKUS Networks Customer Support and Services (CSS) is in the process of enhancing our business through the use of Software Engineering, DevOps and Automaton. We have created a small team who are responsible for solving CSS problems which include customer facing contemporary network monitoring, case automation software, business tooling and back-office automation.

How You'll Help Us Connect the World:

We are seeking a hands-on Software Engineer that has a can-do attitude and a core belief in ownership. You will be creating AI tools and automations to enable engineers in Customer Success and Global Labs to provide world-class support for our wireless wired Switch and cloud-based SaaS products.

Responsibilities:

• Willing to work in a small and agile team and make a difference
• Identify opportunities for providing self-help support automations and help provide customer facing solutions
• Work with teammates to identify, build and deploy tools and automations, in cloud environments, to drive efficiency and simplify workflows
• Help define and drive the Software Engineering process, tools, infrastructure and strategy to support our growth

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production systems
• Strong experience designing and developing backend services using MVC or similar web frameworks
• 3–5 years of hands-on programming experience with one or more of the following languages: Python, Go (Golang), Java, C/C++
• Deep understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts, including Object, Class, Inheritance, Polymorphism, Abstraction, and Encapsulation
• Proven experience working in microservices architectures, including containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Hands-on experience designing, building, and consuming APIs using REST, JSON, HTTP(S), with familiarity with SOAP where applicable
• Experience integrating with third-party systems and complex platforms, including Content Management Systems (CMS) and systems such as Salesforce
• Strong experience operating services in public cloud SaaS environments, with an understanding of cloud-native architectures
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and security principles, including service authentication, authorization, and secure communications
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation, using tools such as Jenkins, Screwdriver, Ansible, Puppet, or Salt
• Proficiency with Git-based version control workflows, including feature branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews, and merge processes
• Experience with web service frameworks such as Django and Flask
• Demonstrated ability to manage data flow, reliability, and failure modes across distributed systems

You Will Excite Us If You Have:

• Experience with frameworks, databases and tools, for example: Kafka, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Sensu, Mongo, gRPC, Postgres, RabbitMQ, MySQL, …
• Experience designing and operating cloud-based data and analytics platforms, such as Google BigQuery or Microsoft Fabric, including performance optimization, and data governance
• Hands-on experience integrating AI-assisted development or automation platforms
• Experience managing multi-repository projects, including dependency management, Git submodules, and CI/CD orchestration across multiple services
• Strong experience in automation, testing, deployment, and release management
• Experience provisioning and managing infrastructure using tools such as Vagrant, Kubernetes, and Ansible, following Infrastructure-as-Code and environment parity best practices
• Exposure to or hands-on experience with frontend frameworks (e.g., Angular), with the ability to collaborate effectively across frontend and backend boundaries
• Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts, service communication patterns, and failure modes
• Experience working in Agile environments, participating in technical planning, estimation, and iterative delivery
• Experience using profilers, debuggers, linters, and performance tuning tools
