Staff Software Engineer (Cloud)

RUCKUS Networks is hiring a Staff Software Engineer who will work closely with our team in Taipei!

How You'll Help Us Connect the World

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will take ownership of major features and services within RUCKUS One—our AI-driven cloud platform for network assurance and analytics. This platform manages millions of connected devices and processes high-throughput telemetry data at scale.

You will lead the development of full-stack features, splitting your time between building rich, intuitive frontend interfaces (React) and robust, scalable backend services (Java/Golang) deployed on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). This role requires deep technical expertise, strong ownership, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams to deliver impactful solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of full-stack features for cloud applications on the RUCKUS One platform.
• Develop clean, reusable UI components using React and modern frontend practices.
• Build and optimize backend services and APIs using Java or Golang, deployed on GKE.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define scope, design solutions, and deliver projects.
• Drive technical quality by advocating for testing, code reviews, and performance improvements.
• Provide mentorship to junior team members and contribute to a strong team engineering culture.

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

• 6+ years of professional software development experience with meaningful exposure to both frontend and backend work.
• Proficiency in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern UI development.
• Experience with Java and/or Golang, and building RESTful or gRPC-based APIs.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture, Kubernetes (GKE preferred), and containerized deployments.
• Experience with technologies like Spring Boot, Kafka, Redis, Elasticsearch, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Comfortable working in Linux-based development environments.

You Will Excite Us If You Have:

• Experience delivering scalable systems in IoT, FinTech, or similarly data-intensive domains.
• Demonstrated success leading complex features involving multiple stakeholders and system components.
• A hands-on approach to problem-solving with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Experience building telemetry-driven platforms or dashboards.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
