How You'll Help Us Connect the World:

 

The HR Generalist typically will report to the HR Business Partner and have a dotted line to the applicable Global HR Generalists.  Major responsibilities include:

 

  • Managing and submitting Employee Central (EC) changes to keep the HR Information System up to date and running audits to ensure accuracy. Educate managers on how to use Employee Central (EC) and submit requests accordingly.
  • Advising/coaching on industrial and employee relations situations, policies and processes
  • Working through the most effective utilization of human resources for the purpose of achieving strategic and operational objectives
  • Supporting all aspects of the Employee Life Cycle and HR Global Programs
  • Pro-actively participate in projects and drive change management
  • Responsible for the development and updating of personnel induction programs. Coordinate the new hires processes.
  • Responsible for the pre-payroll process.
  • Responsible for monitoring Social Security System transactions, including new hires, terminations, and salary modifications
  • Savings fund administration if applicable
  • Support rest of CALA region activities
  • KPI

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Conduct and coordinate the hiring process such as interviews, pre-employment test and background checks, to reduce turnover and develop a quality workforce.
  • Facilitate employee labor relations through active employee-management communications and provide consistent interpretation and application of company policies to maintain employee morale and a healthy workplace.
  • Administer compensation, benefit programs, employee activity programs, and special projects for employees to ensure consistency and reliability of these programs.
  • Administer and interpret company policies through proper communications to employees and managers to maintain consistency in their applications.
  • Taking appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations and addressing employee grievances
  • Responsible for carrying out the pre-payroll process: overtime, attendance control, vacations, hires and terminations, permits, disabilities, etc.
  • Responsible for the process of major medical expense insurance, minor medical insurance, and life insurance, among others.
  • Personnel service administration.
  • This position / function must be responsible for understanding and following the requirements of the Safety, Health and Environment administration system, its Policy, the applicable standards and procedures
  • Updates and implements procedures and policies within their areas of responsibility.
  • Provides support in general human resources activities.

 

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or a related field (preferably)
  • At least 5 years’ experience in human resources
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
  • Problem-solving skills and in-depth knowledge of human resources policies and procedures.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills.
