General Summary
Manages and implements the BU operations activities and objectives to ensure the achievement of goals.
Focuses for short-term goals are on-time delivery, Inventory control and Lead time working with manufacturing locations, Demand planning and Procurement peers.
Supports Global Operations long-term goal implementation, resource planning and coordinates the implementation of operations projects.
Collaborate with New product Introduction technical team to guarantee early orders management and delivery commitment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for the following key areas:
- Manages the operations functions concurrent with:
- business growth and revenue targets
- lead time achievement and customer orders escalation path
- introduction of new products in collaboration with division’s NPI technical team
- meeting divisional goals in relation to quality, inventory, profit improvement plans (Pips) on-time delivery of products
- Manage and assist in coordinating effort between support departments within the organization (including Demand planning, procurement, quality and product line management)
- Work closely with Manufacturing locations in order to assure plan attainment on delivery performances and Earned Hours
- Collaborates and supports Sales/PLM teams as main interface for customer orders prioritizations and escalations
- Manage and coordinate Operations related projects (such as manufacturing footprint optimization, production transfers, cost reduction and continuous improvement efforts)
- Work in close collaboration with NPI to ensure time to market goals are achieved. Generate, develop and maintain processes to monitor early customer requirements during product introduction
Skills Required
Include demonstrated competencies and physical, mental, & interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in related area combined with 10 years operational experience with a minimum of 10 of those years in manufacturing/operations management.
- Experience would need to include progressively more responsible positions in the areas of production leadership and other Supply chain roles
- Strong leadership capabilities to deliver results and to build and motivate teams of diverse disciplines
- Ability to drive change where required.
- Demonstrates ability to think ahead and take action to ensure success.
- SAP
- Bilingual
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong cultural sensitivity to manage relationships with people from all cultures.
- Excellent decision-making and interpersonal skills are essential
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and maintain the proper balance between meeting the business needs and managing the available resources.
- International travel will be required in this position.
